An ongoing exploration

This series of drawings is an ongoing personal project based on an essay from a 2010 issue of the New Yorker. It is titled, ‘Here We Aren’t, So Quickly’ written by Jonathan Safran Foer. It is a piece I have read probably over a dozen times. Every year it reveals new passages to me and gains in meaning. A few years ago I revisited the essay and wanted to do a series of drawings to accompany some of my favourite passages from the text.
